§ 3.14. Audit and examination of City books and accounts.

  • At the close of each fiscal year, and at such other times as the City Council may deem necessary the books and accounts of the City shall be audited by a Certified Public Accountant, who shall be selected by the City Council. All audit reports shall be filed with the City Council, shall be available for public inspection, and shall be made a part of the archives of the City. The City Council shall make available a semiannual simplified financial report to be published in the local newspaper.
